Meet Jonas

| Jonas was born on March 20, 1993 in Terre-Neuve, Haiti. His father passed away and his mother is unable to work and provide a means to care for him. She is 60+ years old (as of 2011). An average life span in Haiti is about 47 years. Jonas is a fine young man, has a tender heart and is concerned about others around him. He does not do very well in school, but tries very hard and wants to continue going to school even though he is in a class with 3rd graders. He never had the opportunity to go to school when he was young, and the mother told the orphanage that he fell out of a coconut tree and landed on his head when he was a little boy. He loves to play soccer, really likes to work in the bread bakery, and one day would like to be an electrician. |

Faith Missions International raises the full support to care for the ongoing needs of the children in the Gift of God Orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti. Sponsors for the children are essential to reaching the monthly needs at the orphanage.
Care for the children, which includes shelter, three meals a day, clothing, nannies, education and medical care, costs approximately $120 per child, per month.
The Child Sponsorship Program offers two levels of support:
• Full Sponsorship - $120 per month
• Shared Sponsorship - $40 per month
We seek one ‘Full Sponsor’ or three ‘Shared Sponsors’ for each child.
As a sponsor, you will receive a folder with your child’s photo and a short video outlining the history of the orphanage; some of the trials these children have endured in the past; and a glimpse at life today at the orphanage. Periodically, we will email photos of your sponsored child as updated photos become available.
